Kards Unlimited February 2017 Holidays and Birthdays

It’s Feb­ru­ary and you know what that means: love is in the air! Ah, l’amour… Not to men­tion the bil­lion oth­er awe­some things we’re cel­e­brat­ing this mon­th. There’s Valentine’s Day, of course, but there’s also Ground­hog Day, Did You Fart? DayNation­al Sticky Bun Day, and Tell A Fairy Tale Day just to name a few. Read on to see all we’re in love with this mon­th!

First up are our mon­th long cel­e­bra­tions! Feb­ru­ary is Library Lovers Mon­th and Mar­i­jua­na Aware­ness Mon­th

Get ready to poten­tial­ly live the same day over and over, first up is Ground­hog Day (2). Get some Bub­ble Tape, don’t give a fuc*, and get naked because it’s Bub­blegum DayNation­al Hon­ey Bad­ger Day, and Work­ing Naked Day (3). On Ice Cream for Break­fast Day, Nation­al Stuffed Mush­room DayNation­al Home­made Soup Day, and Take Your Child to the Library Day (4) you know what to do. Start off Super­bowl Sun­day (5) by show­er­ing with a friend because it’s also Nation­al Show­er with a Friend Day. If things get awk­ward after all of those nachos, there’s one ques­tion it’s okay to ask because it’s Did You Fart? Day too (5). Con­tin­u­ing the fun, the next day is Nation­al Poop Day (6). Bonus points if you send pics to some­one you love. You can make it up to them the next day on Send a Card to a Friend Day (7).

On Umbrel­la Day (10), stay dry, friends. Shady Side Acad­e­my presents The Addams Fam­i­ly as its win­ter musi­cal pro­duc­tion with more than 50 stu­dents par­tic­i­pat­ing in the cast, crew and orches­tra pit Feb­ru­ary 10–12. Creepy and kooky! AND. The Bene­dum Cen­ter presents Alice in Won­der­land with the when the Pitts­burgh Bal­let The­atre Feb­ru­ary 10–19. OFF WITH THEIR HEADSNation­al PB&J Day coin­cides with Nation­al Free­dom to Mar­ry Day on the 12th, and we don’t care how you take your sand­wich, or your spouse. On the 14th, go on a date, sign up to be an organ donor, cel­e­brate wom­en vot­ers, and give a book to some­one because it’s Valentine’s DayDonor DayLeague of Wom­en Vot­ers Day, and Inter­na­tion­al Book Giv­ing Day (14).

Begin­ing Feb­ru­ary 17th, plan to attend The Har­ry Pot­ter Film and Cul­tur­al Fes­ti­val at Row House Cin­e­ma. Cos­tume con­tests, Har­ry Pot­ter trib­ute bands, but­ter beer, sto­ry time… We’ll be there! Once you’ve recov­ered from that, you’ve got a big day on the 18th. It’s Nation­al Crab-Stuffed Floun­der Day, Drink Wine DayFlirt­ing Day, and Plu­to Dis­cov­ered Day. Take a breather at home on the 20th on Love Your Pet Day. Snug­gles on the couch all day! Enjoy a sticky bun and read those old cards from your grand­ma on Nation­al Sticky Bun Day and Card Read­ing Day (21).

Feb­ru­ary may be com­ing to an end, but we’re not done with it yet! First up is Curling is Cool Day and Inter­na­tion­al Dog Bis­cuit Appre­ci­a­tion Day (23). Bring your inner child to DISNEY ON ICE: Dream Big. And yes, we hear Olaf will make an appear­ance. Next, your esoph­a­gus will feel uncom­fort­able all day because it’s Inter­na­tion­al Sword Swal­low­ers Day (25). But, it’s also Open That Bot­tle Night so you can open that bot­tle of what­ev­er you have lying around. On the 26th, tell a fairy tale for Tell A Fairy Tale Day. Final­ly, on the 28th cel­e­brate all things sci­en­tific and glut­to­nous because it’s Nation­al Sci­ence Day and Mardi Gras.
