Oh!  That's right, July 2nd is I Forgot Day!

Well said, Homer. D'oh indeed.

Well said, Homer. D'oh indeed.

I Forgot Day was instituted by Gaye Anderson of Demotte, IN.  No joke, she doesn't remember exactly when.  How apropos is that?!  I Forgot Day is for those of us who have trouble remembering anniversaries, birthdays, or any other of the various and sundry events that seem to keep happening.  If you find yourself overwhelmed trying to keep all those days straight, if making sure you acknowledge all the events in your friends' and families' lives with cards and gifts and things, relax.  July 2nd is for you.  Just let yourself forget.  Because, if the worst comes to the worst, you can send a card today and all will be well.

Of course, the trap is that if you relax and start to forget specific dates, you'll probably eventually forget I Forgot Day.  Then you're screwed.  So maybe, instead of trying to remember when I Forgot Day is, just remember your parents' anniversary?  Or your brother's birthday?  Or whatever?  I dunno, I'm just spitballing here.

Juuuuuuust a suggestion.
