Herbie Homestead Brown Garden Snail is in constant awe of how alive the world is. Every millisecond of every day is a birthday for something or someone, somewhere. The birth of an idea, tiny ones that make small but important differences to people, or huge, earth-shaking ones that change our lives completely. And how many times each day is love born? How often does a seed begin to sprout, growing into plants that can feed a village?
Every one of these births is an awesome miracle on its own, and is integral to our collective existence. Herbie celebrates all of these births, and is grateful for the gifts that come with each. Because life gives life.
.But extra special are the birthdays of his friends and his family. Their existence makes his existence….better. So, whenever one of these extra special birthdays happens to roll around, Herbie is fully festooned in party regalia, with tissue streamers acting as an impromptu boa, the cardboard party hat perched on his head, and noisemaker in full effect. Celebrating birthdays will always put a conga in Herbie’s caboose. Now if he could just make it to the party before they cut the cake.
